Tools required for this task: (See pic. 1)

Checklist

Pot of warm water
Scissors
Tape measure
Hole puncher (if cutting your own strap)
Hammer or rubber mallet (optional)
Gloves

Submerge the straps in a pot of hot water for 5 minutes before installation. To protect your hands, we recommend wearing gloves. When ready, use tongs (optional) to handle the straps. Install each strap immediately after removing it from the water, as it will cool and harden quickly

Step one: Secure one end of the strap to the frame

Push the rivet into both strap holes (if you purchased precut strap with aluminum clip or grommet, they will already be inserted on both sides). Insert the rivet into the hole of one side of the chair frame and if necessary, use a hammer to tap it in. As shown in

Step two: Wrap strap around the frame

Secure the strap by wrapping it around the frame two times, as shown in
Pic. 3

Step three: Secure the strap

Stretch the strap and extend it 5 inches beyond the opposite side of the chair frame, as shown in
Pics. 4 and 5

Step four: Secure the strap to the opposite side of the frame

Wrap the strap around the frame twice, just as you did on the first side, as shown in
Pics. 6 and 7

Step five: Adjust the Strap

If needed, carefully slide and reposition the strap for proper alignment, as shown in
Pics. 8 and 9
