HOW TO INSTALL NEW REPLACEMENT SLINGS
The same instructions apply for a 2 piece sling. Please call us with any questions at 954-970-7497.
If you will use the same end caps, be careful removing them, they can be very dry, brittle, and break easily. Use a flat screw driver and remove the caps. As shown in Pic. 2 and 3
Using a utility knife or scissors, cut the old sling down in the middle. If your chair has a bar in the back, at this point it will come out. Slide the two old sling pieces out of the rails one at a time and if necessary use pliers to pull them out. As shown in Pic. 4, 5, 6 and 7
Slide the plastic splines into the sling pockets on both side as shown in Pic. 8
Make sure to keep the sling tag at the top of the chair (differentiates the top from the bottom dimension of the sling). As shown in Pic. 9, 10, and 11
Use an impact drill to remove all the bolts (spacers or washers) that hold the rail of the side you inserted the sling as shown in Pic. 12
Insert and slide the sling fabric in the rail that is still attached to the frame; pull the sling down until the end of the rail as shown in Pic. 13
On the side that is still attached to the frame, loosen all bolts 3/4" of the way using an impact drill as shown in Pic. 14
Line up the holes of the loose rail with the holes of the frame; insert the bolts (spacers or washers) and tighten them using your fingers for now as shown in Pic. 15
Pull the sling until it is even with both ends of the rails, and if necessary, use pliers to eliminate wrinkles on the fabric. Note: Do not apply pressure on the pliers, it may cut the sling as shown in Pic. 16
A spreader tool is needed and you can find it on our website under tools. Turn the chair upside down and put the spreader tool in the rails behind the chair; doing so will help to stretch the fabric. Note: The fabric was made to stretch up to 1 3/8". as shown in Pic. 17
Use an impact drill to tighten all bolts as shown in Pic. 18 and 19
Cut all the excess spline as shown in Pic. 20
Using a rubber mallet, gently tap the end caps into the sling rails as shown in Pic. 21

Turn the chair upside down and put the spreader tool on the top part of the rails. Spread the rails until the holes of the bar and the holes of the rails are aligned. Insert the bolts and using an impact drill tighten them up. As shown in Pic. 1, 2, and 3
Turn the chair upside down and put the spreader tool on the top part of the rails. Insert one end of the bar into one of the holes of the rail. Spread the rails until you can insert the other end of the bar into the other hole of the rail. As shown in Pic. 4, 5, and 6
Turn the chair upside down and put the spreader tool on the top part of the rails. Remove the end cap. Insert one end of the bar into the rail (that has the hole) and remove the end cap of the opposite side. Spread the rails and slide the bar in it. Put the end cap back. As shown in Pic. 7 and 8
